Zoom for yeskite

Every call a qualified lead books gets its own Zoom meeting in your account. When the call moves, the meeting moves. When it's cancelled, the meeting is deleted.

Last updated November 2, 2026

Before you start

  • A yeskite account with a workspace. Create one if you haven't.
  • A Zoom account. Any plan works, but Zoom's free Basic plan ends meetings after 40 minutes, so use a paid plan if your calls run longer.
  • If your Zoom account belongs to a company, your Zoom admin may need to approve yeskite first.

Zoom is required: leads can only book calls while your workspace has Zoom connected.

Adding the app

  1. Sign in to yeskite.
  2. Open Calendar in the sidebar, then the Availability tab.
  3. Under Booking page, find Zoom connection and select Connect Zoom.
  4. Sign in to Zoom if it asks. Use the account you want calls hosted on.
  5. Review the permissions, listed below, and select Allow.
  6. You're taken back to yeskite, which shows "Zoom connected" and your Zoom email address. Leads can now book.

If you started from yeskite's listing in the Zoom App Marketplace, select Visit Site to Add, create your yeskite account, and follow the steps above.

If something goes wrong, see Troubleshooting.

Permissions

yeskite only asks for what it needs to manage the meetings for your booked calls. It can't see recordings, transcripts, chat, contacts, or anything said in a meeting.

user:read:user
Shows which Zoom account is connected, by its user ID and email.
meeting:write:meeting
Creates a meeting for each booked call.
meeting:update:meeting
Moves the meeting when the call is rescheduled.
meeting:delete:meeting
Deletes the meeting when the call is cancelled.
meeting:read:list_meetings
Finds a meeting we created if Zoom's reply was lost, so the same call never gets two meetings.

Using Zoom with yeskite

When a lead books

yeskite creates a scheduled meeting in your Zoom account at the booked time, for the call length you set. Each call gets a new meeting, not your Personal Meeting ID, so leads never share a link. The meeting:

  • is titled "Call with" and your workspace name,
  • has the waiting room on, and doesn't let the lead join before you,
  • has a description containing the lead's private link to change or cancel the call, so treat it as private.

The join link then appears:

  • on the lead's confirmation page and their private booking page,
  • in the calendar invite the lead can add to their calendar,
  • in booking emails, if you've connected an email account,
  • in your dashboard: open Calendar, then select the call, and
  • as the location of the event on your Google Calendar, if you've connected it.

The link is created as the lead books, so it's normally on their confirmation page straight away.

When a call is rescheduled or cancelled

If you or the lead reschedule, the same meeting moves to the new time, so the link stays the same. If the call is cancelled, the meeting is deleted from your Zoom account.

When Zoom can't be reached

Changes wait and retry automatically. The Availability tab shows how many meeting updates are waiting, with a Retry meeting updates button to try straight away.

Make changes in yeskite, not Zoom

Changing a meeting's time in Zoom doesn't change the booking or tell the lead. If you delete one of these meetings in Zoom, yeskite doesn't create it again. To move or cancel a call, do it from your yeskite calendar.

One Zoom account per workspace

All of a workspace's calls are hosted on the Zoom account you connected. While upcoming calls have meetings on that account, you can't connect a different one, because those meetings couldn't be moved or cancelled. Wait until they've happened or been cancelled, then connect the new account.

Removing the app

There are two ways to stop yeskite using your Zoom account.

Disconnect in yeskite

  1. Open Calendar, then Availability.
  2. In Zoom connection, select Disconnect Zoom.

What happens:

  • yeskite revokes its access with Zoom and deletes its saved tokens.
  • Leads can't book new calls until you connect Zoom again.
  • Meetings already created stay in your Zoom account, and their links keep working.
  • If a call is rescheduled or cancelled while you're disconnected, the change waits and reaches Zoom when you reconnect the same Zoom account.
  • yeskite keeps your Zoom user ID and email address, and the meeting links on your bookings, so reconnecting picks up where you left off.

Remove it from Zoom

  1. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
  2. Select Manage, then Added Apps.
  3. Find yeskite and select Remove.

What happens:

  • Zoom tells yeskite, which deletes your Zoom connection: your Zoom user ID, email address, and tokens.
  • The Zoom meeting IDs and links are removed from your bookings, and meeting updates still waiting are dropped. The bookings themselves, with the lead and the time, stay in yeskite.
  • Meetings already created stay in your Zoom account until you delete them. Leads who have a link in an email or calendar invite can still use it, but rescheduling or cancelling the call won't update that meeting any more.
  • Leads can't book new calls until you connect Zoom again.

To have everything else deleted too, ask us to delete your account. The Privacy Policy explains how Zoom data is handled.

Troubleshooting

"Zoom connections need to be enabled by the app owner."
Zoom isn't switched on for this site yet. Email us and we'll let you know when it is.
"Zoom connection was cancelled."
You left Zoom's page without allowing access. Select Connect Zoom again and choose Allow.
"The Zoom connection request expired."
The connection has to finish within 10 minutes, in the same browser. Select Connect Zoom again, and make sure your browser accepts cookies from yeskite.
"Connect the Zoom account used for your upcoming meetings."
You signed in to a different Zoom account from the one hosting your upcoming calls. Sign out of Zoom, then connect the original account. See one Zoom account per workspace.
"Your Zoom authorization has expired or been removed."
Zoom stopped accepting yeskite's saved access, and leads can't book until you fix it. Select Reconnect Zoom and sign in to the same Zoom account.
Zoom says your admin must approve the app.
Ask your Zoom account admin to approve yeskite in the Zoom App Marketplace, then connect again.
A booking has no Zoom link, or meeting updates are waiting to sync.
Select Retry meeting updates on the Availability tab. If they're still waiting, check the Zoom connection says Connected, then email us.
"Couldn't connect Zoom."
Try again in a few minutes. If it keeps happening, email us with the time you tried.
Calls end after 40 minutes.
That's the limit on Zoom's free Basic plan. Upgrade the Zoom account that hosts your calls.
